On Monday we will know if Carmichael gets the Orkney 4’s burrows.

The Orkney Vole breaks his silence about the costs hearing

On Monday, the costs hearing takes place at the Court of Session. We will know whether Mr. Carmichael (the only unreliable witness in the case) will succeed in getting punitive damages against us – the Orkney 4.

I have kept quiet as the burrow has been a busy places these few weeks. Great Uncle Cedric continues poorly and the National Vole Health Service is wonderful. Trusting it to a Salmond and a Sturgeon has been an excellent plan for us all. Also a book has appeared associated with me and now available at all indecent bookshops. It is not suitable for right thinking people and so should be avoided by all Liberal Democrat MPs and both their supporters.

We are confident in our supporters – people have given more than we could have ever imagined – it means that this weekend, we are not particularly stressed. We know, that whatever happens over 10,000 people have backed us. We are not dependent of a few contributions from rich, anonymous donors. Nor, no matter what the Yoons say, are we supported by any large organisation, it’s just us, angry voters who want our democracy back and to be peaceable about it.

Thank you. Whiskers crossed. Let’s see what happens.

If he is awarded punitive damages the law is a laughing stock ,he was found guilty on two of the three charges, he lied end of story ,he did the damages to himself he shouldn’t be rewarded for it .Orkney wont forget ,he might get away with it this time but his career in 4 years time is finished.

My understanding is that “punitive damages” do not exist in Scots Law and that damages can only be sought to cover losses or injuries and as he was found guilty on 2 out of 3 counts I can’t see any injury to his “reputation” being involved. So the very best he can hope for is an award of costs, but because of the Judges verdict he should consider himself lucky if he gets awarded even 25% of his costs…….

Although it should never have got this far , nor should it be required , THE VERY BEST OF SCOTTISH POWER TO YOUR ELBOWS.
As the Judges in the case, against this (cough) man , agreed that he told a blatant lie , for political gain and then allowed substantial amounts to be squandered to defend his lie , he should be told at the next stage , that he is a liar and a quisling opportunist who should resign immediately.

The significance of taking this rogue to task has improved democratic process, you continue to have unwavering support and best of all it is not conditional! I’m sure many of us will hope that you will not have damages awarded against you. I’m glad that the broad support has left you in a far better place this weekend

If justice prevails he will be awarded 0.1p or less. If not, believe with all your heart that your supporters will never let you down.

I have no printable words for the liar but he has my deep disrespect and he is without a shred of honour.

If the liberal democrat former sec of state for Scotland ( a post of the highest honour) wins round two then we are adrift without a moral compass

Good result this morning. Well done to you all for fronting this campaign and to all my fellow contributors who supported our democratic right to call our so-called representatives to account.
