Voles down South. Thank you for getting us this far!!! Home soon.

12239745_1543613365928699_8768127216589454389_nSo folks, that it done. We have had our three days in court and had a good hearing from the judges. Thank you for the support and the cash.

Our case has gone to Court because many thousands of people want how Government is done in Britain  to change – and they will change now because of what you have done irrespective of the determination that happens.

The determination is yet to happen.

The outcome we want is a by-election in the islands. Mr. Carmichael has said in his own defence that this was a lie with political benefits and that he tried to mislead a cabinet inquiry about it. It is hard to see how he can represent us with any credibility now – no one is ever going to believe anything he says.

He can resign tonight and then we can start again. Perhaps, the LibDems will even keep the seat. In the mean time, we still need to raise cash to meet the bills – please don’t forget  us at  https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-people-versus-carmichael

I hope when it’s all done, you’ll tell us why this has been so expensive. That in itself is intimidation of the public, and obstructing justice. IMO.

Yes, access to the law should be a right, not a privilege based on the size of one’s pocket. Scotland must bring Legal Aid back when we have the power to do so.

Of course we will tell you – suffice to say that the legal team consists of a QC, his junior, and the instructing solicitors – we have had something like 10 days at court so far by the time it all gets added together – think of how much it would cost to have even plumber for 30 days, then on top of that there had to be a lot of research done – as this was a new kind of case work had to be done.

Part of the reason that costs went up so much was the televising – that involved time in court that no one had imagined and a lot of objection were raised – so that was two or three days legal time that none of us had imagined.

Something else – is crowdfunding is not free – 4% of everything went to Indiegogo – faredoes – they made it possible – and then paypal and credit cards each charge a fee – it all adds up.

And access to justice is a huge issue – the coalition (including Pinnochio did everything he could to cut down access to the courts.

Voles of the North – deep respect and thanks for going through all that. We haven’t forgotten you and you must tell us what the remaining shortfall is so that we can work hard to meet it. You are heroes of the revolution. 😀
